This 24/7 mixed-use community in Kansas City comprises the historic Midwest Hotel built in 1915 plus a new seven-story building with 283 apartments, 10 percent of which are affordable units. Residents can shoose from 50 distinct floorplans with balconies, terraces, bay windows, 9-20 foot ceilings, 5G technology and 24/7 resort amenities. The rooftop sky park has an outdoor pool, a terrace club and an outdoor theatre. The second-floor sky club includes an additional theater, a gourmet kitchen and lounge seating. Creating the indoor-outdoor connection that renters crave, the sky club opens to an outdoor courtyard with another movie theater, fire pits, a bark park, a beach and a Zen Garden. The community is a National Green Building Standard-certified, clean rated and has 300 underground parking spaces. A mural depicting an endangered gorilla was recently completed on the side of the historic building. Jonathan Holtzman, the founder of City Club Apartments, also operates The Holtzman Wildlife Foundation. The foundation supports the repopulation of endangered species around the world. He integrates his passion for sustainability and animals into his communities.
"The project fits this neighborhood so well. The design is really fun. It's very artsy. It's got a lot of 'glammy funk'."
